BIO:
Hector is from far West Texas and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2020. Before earning his Juris Doctor from SMU Dedman School of Law, Hector worked as an accountant in the real estate industry for an S&P 500 company. During law school, his studies focused on oil and gas, contract drafting, and commercial real estate. Hector also served as Managing Editor of the SMU Science and Technology Law Review.
Hector’s practice focuses primarily on oil, gas, and energy law, with particular emphasis on title examination. He also handles real estate and contract drafting matters. Across all practice areas, he emphasizes attention to detail, careful analysis, and practical business judgment to create value for clients with each project.
In his spare time, Hector is an avid hunter and outdoorsman and enjoys cooking, working out, and spending time with his German Shepherd, friends, and family.
