BIO:

John is a native of Albany, Georgia, and moved to Memphis, Tennessee, during high school.  He attended Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy.  While at Millsaps, John played on the tennis team for five years.  He then earned his Juris Doctor from SMU Dedman School of Law, where he participated in the Federal Taxpayers Clinic and served as an Articles Editor for the SMU Law Review Association.

John’s practice focuses on oil, gas, and energy law, with an emphasis on title examination and transactional matters.  During law school, he also gained experience clerking on commercial real estate matters in Dallas.

When not working, John can be found running at White Rock Lake, playing racket sports, and hunting.
