BIO:
Kurt is originally from Austin, Texas. He attended the University of Texas at Austin for his undergraduate studies, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration from the McCombs School of Business in 2012. Subsequently, he earned his Juris Doctor degree from the SMU Dedman School of Law in 2015.
Kurt’s practice focuses on oil, gas and energy law and real estate law, with an emphasis on title examination. He primarily represents oil and gas companies in their exploration and production operations and has performed stand-up title searches, as well as drafted Original Drilling Title Opinions, Acquisition Title Opinions, Division Order Title Opinions, and various curative instruments. During law school, Kurt gained industry experience by working in-house with a Dallas-based oil and gas company and for the Texas General Land Office in Austin.
Kurt met his wife, Rachel, at the University of Texas, and they were married in 2014. They have three children, Grayson, Jackson, and Harrison. Kurt’s hobbies include spending time outdoors with his family, playing golf, hunting, and watching football with friends.
